BRILLIANT: This is what Modi did to youths who chanted jai sri ram and were jailed

JHARGRAM: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday threw a challenge to Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, daring her to put him in jail for chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in her state.

At a rally in Jhargram, Modi said, “I felt I should directly greet Didi (Mamata) with ‘Jai Shri Ram’. May be she will jail me too. That will help me serve those who are already in jail.”

The PM was likely referring to an incident on May 4 when ‘Jai Shri Ram’ chants were raised as Banerjee’s cavalcade was heading towards Chandrakona from Keshpur in Paschim Medinipur district. Banerjee had stopped her vehicle and got off to enquire who were raising the slogans. Three locals were later detained in connection with the matter, questioned and let off within a few hours.
